I had a lovely stay in a Double Room with Private Bathroom at The Buck's Head! The room felt spacious and cozy, complete with a large comfortable bed and rustic furnishings. The breakfast options were impressive. the cooked breakfast exceeded my expectations and set me up nicely for the day. Sarah, the host, really added to the experience with her warm atmosphere and personal touch. there were some noise disturbances from the pub area, especially late into the night, which made it a bit tough to sleep at times. The parking was convenient, right across the street, so unloading my suitcase was easy. I'd recommend it for its charm and fantastic breakfast, but maybe be mindful of the noise if you're looking to turn in early.

unique historic charm, spacious and characterful rooms, large private bathrooms
Loud music and conversation until 1:00 AM!!! Shower screen leakage issues could pose safety hazards, while dated room aesthetics may not appeal to everyone!!! Limited entertainment options left a dull feeling during the stay.

A bit of noise from the bar area at night could be improved.

The noise levels in our overhead room were disruptive, particularly between 11 PM and closing time, affecting sleep despite earplugs. A highlight was the comfort despite basic amenities, which made the stay enjoyable overall. Dining options like traditional shabu-shabu were delightful, showcasing good food quality.
